We leave the island of Cebu by ferry and enter the eastern part of the Visayas, the island of Leyte. This island is hardly developed for tourism. There are untouched natural landscapes, mountains and volcanoes.
Far from turbulent Cebu, nature lovers will find an oasis of peace here. On a mountain slope, surrounded by rice fields, lies the LAKIP Eco Park.
With its bamboo houses, the park is very simply furnished, but offers a picturesque view over fields all the way to the town of Ormoc. Climbing and hiking trails invite you to explore. In the evening we sit together around the campfire.
